Love this cake, I use to always have as my birthday cake every year when I was growing up.

Same cake, same size, new baker/distributor....almost TWICE the PRICE. Not tariffs nor inflation. The cost of this little 8x8 cake is more than a custom 8 inch round double layer at a bakery. WHY???? This isn't the Lamborghini of cakes.

Got some cakes for my birthday to remind this Michigan boy of where he grew up decades ago. Tried the new flavor, it was a smash hit with my kids, but I prefer the classic.

One of the best parts of the cake was that it came in right in front of a record snow fall. Living on the Gulf Coast, we had nothing for our outside cat to sleep in. The box the cakes come in is so efficient, it made a perfect place for our cat to ride out this once in a generation storm.

While everyone eats King Cakes at this time of year where we live, our family is trying to add to that tradition. I'll probably be ordering more for Fat Tuesday.

I grew up in Detroit and there was a Sanders store nearby. My aunt worked there. I remember this cake as a double layer cake and our family had it often for birthdays. This time the icing was very sweet, too sweet. If someone were to offer me a piece I would certainly not turn it down but I will not be purchasing it again.

I love my sweets . This cake is so delicious . One of if not the best cake I’ve ever had .
